Subscribe a UK company once with POST /monitor and get a signed webhook when its status changes, it is dissolved, a new Companies House filing or Gazette notice appears, or a sanctions match is found (screening is beta).
Companies House is a free source and it is the right place to read one company by hand. What it does not give a product is a watchlist of hundreds of counterparties that pushes a message to your system when one of them changes. That is the job of the monitor endpoint: you subscribe a company by its id, you give a webhook URL, and the API calls you.
For the United Kingdom the alerts are status changes (active, liquidation, strike-off proposed and so on, in the standard status with the register's own words in local_status), dissolution, sanctions matches (sanctions screening is beta), and corporate events: new filings on the Companies House record and notices in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes. Corporate events for the UK come from the filings and the Gazette, not from the register-change comparison used for Ireland, Poland and Norway.
Search for the company to get its id, then subscribe it. Tesco PLC is company number 00445790.
# 1. find the company (results are under data)
curl 'https://api.prometiam.com/functions/v1/risk-api/companies/search?country=GB&company_number=00445790' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer rk_live_...'
# 2. subscribe it, with a webhook
curl -X POST 'https://api.prometiam.com/functions/v1/risk-api/monitor' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer rk_live_...' \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"company_id": 2000000000123, "country": "GB", "label": "supplier-tesco",
"webhook_url": "https://yourapp.com/hooks/prometiam",
"events": ["corporate_event", "status_change", "dissolution", "sanctions_match"]}'
The first response returns a one-time webhook_secret. Store it: every webhook is signed with HMAC-SHA256 over the raw body, in the X-Prometiam-Signature header, and you should verify the signature before you act on the payload. If you leave out webhook_url, nothing is pushed and you read the alerts with GET /monitor, which lists your subscriptions and the recent alerts.

Managing a subscription (subscribe, list, delete) costs no credits. Monitoring is the same call for every live country except France, so a UK watchlist and an Irish or Polish one share one integration; only the kind of event differs by country.
Use Companies House directly if you follow a handful of UK companies and can run your own polling: its API is free and its rate limit is documented in the Companies House API alternative page. Use this API when UK companies are one part of a wider watchlist, when you want webhooks rather than polling, or when the same alert has to cover Gazette notices and sanctions as well as filings.
The UK is also one of the twelve insolvency markets. For a list of counterparties checked in one call rather than watched, send them through POST /insolvency/check; notices are corporate only. Annual accounts as filed are a separate product, described in the UK company accounts API.
