Borrower verification and distress monitoring API for lenders and factoring companies
Prometiam is the registry-data and distress-signal layer for lenders, invoice financiers and factoring companies underwriting and monitoring European counterparties — one REST API, one bearer token, one schema across Spain, France, the UK, Ireland, Poland and Norway.
The problem it solves
Underwriting confirms a borrower exists and who controls it. The harder problem is the months afterwards, when a director resigns, capital is reduced, the registered office moves, or a winding-up petition is filed — and nobody notices until an invoice goes unpaid. A bureau score is a compressed opinion that tells you a number moved, not that the sole director resigned last Tuesday.
What Prometiam serves
- Corporate insolvency across eight markets — France, Finland, Germany, the UK, Austria, Norway, Switzerland and the US, plus Spanish concursal filings, from official gazettes. Corporate only; personal insolvency is never returned.
- German distress without a German registry — we hold no German commercial register, but German corporate insolvency is covered.
- Daily corporate events — director changes, capital reductions, address and name changes, dissolutions, as a queryable timeline.
- Director networks — cross-directorship rollups that surface phoenix patterns.
- Company age filters — a counterparty registered six weeks ago asking for sixty-day terms is a policy question.
- Flat-rate monitoring — charged against the call quota, not per monitored company, so sweeping a whole book nightly does not scale the bill.
What it deliberately does not do
No credit score, no rating, no recommended credit limit, no probability of default, and no filed financial accounts for any country. Prometiam returns registry facts and risk signals. If your process needs a bureau score or a balance sheet, it complements that vendor rather than replacing it.
