Know when an account changes, before a competitor calls

A new managing director, fresh capital, a move or a new name is often the moment a company starts buying. The API watches the accounts in your CRM, sends the change from the official register, and lists the companies registered this week.

The changes that start a buying cycle

The register-change countries are Ireland, Poland and Norway (from 14 October 2026) and Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Latvia, Cyprus, Romania, the US, Lithuania, Canada, Australia, Japan, Israel, Singapore, Colombia, Taiwan, Brazil, the Czech Republic and Germany: each change is dated when it first appears in the register data, so their history starts at the end of September 2026 or later.

Watch your accounts

Resolve each account to its register record once, subscribe it, and keep your CRM id as the label: it comes back on every alert. Subscribing costs no credits.

import requests

BASE = "https://api.prometiam.com/functions/v1/risk-api"
H = {"Authorization": "Bearer rk_live_your_api_key"}

# Your target accounts, as the CRM holds them: country + registry number
accounts = [("ES", "A28015865", "crm-1001"), ("GB", "00445790", "crm-1002")]

for country, number, crm_id in accounts:
    r = requests.get(f"{BASE}/companies/search", headers=H,
                     params={"country": country, "company_number": number})
    r.raise_for_status()
    hits = r.json()["data"]
    if not hits:
        continue
    requests.post(f"{BASE}/monitor", headers=H, json={
        "company_id": hits[0]["id"],
        "label": crm_id, # comes back on every alert
        "events": ["corporate_event", "status_change", "dissolution"],
        "webhook_url": "https://example.com/hooks/prometiam",
    }).raise_for_status()

Alerts are signed. Check the signature against the webhook_secret returned by POST /monitor, then turn the alert into a task for the account owner:

import hashlib, hmac, os
from flask import Flask, request, abort

app = Flask(__name__)
SECRET = os.environ["PROMETIAM_WEBHOOK_SECRET"].encode()   # webhook_secret returned by POST /monitor

def create_crm_task(crm_id, kind, detail, day):
    ... # your CRM's API: a task for the account owner of crm_id

@app.post("/hooks/prometiam")
def alert():
    sent = request.headers.get("X-Prometiam-Signature", "")
    mine = "sha256=" + hmac.new(SECRET, request.get_data(), hashlib.sha256).hexdigest()
    if not hmac.compare_digest(sent, mine):
        abort(401)
    a = request.get_json()
    # e.g. alert_type "corporate_event", detail.event_type "director_change", label "crm-1001"
    create_crm_task(a["label"], a["alert_type"], a.get("detail", {}), a["event_date"])
    return "", 204

The free trial monitors 3 companies, Starter 25, Professional 250 and Scale 2,500. Webhooks start with Professional; on every plan the alerts are listed in GET /monitor, so a nightly job can read them instead.

Read the history before the call

Before a first call, the last year of changes says more than a company description: GET /company-events/search?country=ES&company_number=A28015865&date_from=2025-10-01 lists the account's events, newest first, at 2 credits a call. The search needs a company name or number; it is a history for an account, not a stream of every change in a country. French companies have their BODACC events here even though monitoring does not cover France.

New companies, the week they register

Formation is the first trigger: a new company needs a bank, an accountant, insurance, software and premises. founded_after lists companies incorporated since a date, without a name, page by page; in Spain you can narrow it by activity code (cnae) or by a word in the business purpose (objeto).

# Companies registered in Spain since 1 October whose activity code starts with 62 (programming)
curl "https://api.prometiam.com/functions/v1/risk-api/companies/search?country=ES&founded_after=2026-10-01&cnae=62&limit=100" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer rk_live_your_api_key"

Each country publishes at its own pace: UK companies arrive with Companies House's monthly file, up to a month after incorporation, and Norwegian bankruptcy estates, units of the register rather than companies, are never listed. Japan publishes no founding date. The full pattern is on the new incorporations feed page.

Rules of the road

  • Company-level only. Officers are served in some countries for due diligence, never for marketing: contact the company through its published channels.
  • E-mail marketing rules differ by country. A trigger tells you when to call, not that you may e-mail a person.
  • Inside your sales process. The Terms do not allow reselling the data as a list or a competing data service.
  • No market-wide event stream. Alerts come for the companies you watch; the event search needs a company name or number.

What it costs

Monitoring costs no credits: the plan sets how many accounts you watch. A company search is 1 credit and an event search 2. Starter is €9.99 a month for 1,000 credits and 25 monitored companies, Professional €29.99 for 10,000 credits, 250 companies and webhooks, Scale €99.99 for 50,000 credits and 2,500 companies. The free trial is 500 credits over 14 days, card required and nothing charged during the trial. See pricing.

Questions

Can I get every capital increase in a country, not only for my accounts?
Not today. Alerts come for the companies you monitor, and the event search needs a company name or number. The market-wide part is the new-company feed: companies registered since a date, without a name.

Which countries send director changes?
Spain, from the BORME, and the UK, from Companies House filings. The other monitored countries send name, registered address, status and legal-form changes, and share capital where the register publishes it.

Is France covered?
French companies have their events from the BODACC through the event search, but monitoring does not cover France, so there are no French alerts. The new-company feed works for France.

Can I use directors’ names for outreach?
No. Officers are served in some countries for due diligence, not for marketing. Contact the company through its published channels, and follow the e-mail marketing rules of each country.
