Ukraine company data API: look up a company by EDRPOU code

Ukrainian companies from the Unified State Register in the same record shape as every other country: one key, one call, the register credited. Here is the call, the fields, and what the open data does not hold.

The demo key is shared and capped per page view; your own key has the limits of your plan.

The call

The same endpoint as every other live country, with country=UA. A company is found by its EDRPOU code (8 digits, leading zeros kept) or by name:

# by EDRPOU code
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer rk_live_..." \
  "https://api.prometiam.com/functions/v1/risk-api/companies/search?company_number=21673832&country=UA"

# by name, in Ukrainian or transliterated
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer rk_live_..." \
  "https://api.prometiam.com/functions/v1/risk-api/companies/search?name=epitsentr&country=UA"

A value that is not an EDRPOU answers with a 400 validation error. A shorter number is read with its leading zeros restored, and a UA prefix is tolerated. The check digit is advisory: a few genuine codes fail it and are still found.

What a record holds

FieldNotes
company_numberThe EDRPOU code, 8 digits.
company_nameIn Ukrainian, as the register writes it.
legal_formThe register’s legal form (ТОВ, ПП, joint-stock company, state or municipal enterprise and so on), with the register’s wording in local_legal_form_name.
statusActive, in liquidation, insolvent, in restructuring, deregistered or merged. A company the register lists as registered but whose registration certificate is void is active with local_status certificate_void.
DatesThe registration date; for an ended company the termination date and its basis.
capital_amountThe authorised capital in hryvnia (UAH) where the register states one.

Register-change events and monitoring

Ukraine has register-change events and company monitoring from its launch. An event is written when the name, the status, the legal form or the share capital of a company changes in the register data, and it is dated when the change first appears there; there are none before Ukraine's launch in October 2026. Monitoring alerts fire on a status change, a dissolution, a sanctions match and these events, through the same monitoring endpoints as every other country. The register publishes no address, so an address change is never an event. A company search or record is 1 credit and an events call 2 credits.

What is not in it

Since martial law the Ministry of Justice withholds the address, the activity codes (KVED) and any contact from the open data, so those fields are empty for Ukraine. Prometiam does not read or serve the register’s founders, beneficiaries or heads, and there is no VAT number, no financial statements and no insolvency notices (a bankruptcy shows in the status). Individual entrepreneurs (FOP) and other natural persons, farms and non-profit bodies are never served. Some state and defence-related entities are not in the open data. The data is refreshed weekly.
