BORME (Boletin Oficial del Registro Mercantil) is Spain's Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry. It is published every business day by the Agencia Estatal Boletin Oficial del Estado and carries legal notices from all 52 Spanish commercial registries, one per province. Whenever a Spanish company is incorporated, changes directors, raises capital, merges, enters insolvency, or is dissolved, the registry publishes a notice in BORME. These notices are Spain's legal-publication-of-record, referenced by courts, banks, and regulators.
BORME is a daily PDF publication in two sections: Seccion I (empresarios) and Seccion II (legal notices and auctions), with roughly 30 to 50 province PDFs per business day. The raw PDFs are free on boe.es but unstructured, so the real work is parsing them. Prometiam turns them into typed, queryable records — one per company, with the corporate event, directors, capital and registry coordinates — served through a REST API.
Current coverage: 3.80M Spanish companies, 18.60M corporate acts, and 13.57M appointments, stored in the EU (Frankfurt) for GDPR compliance. A free API key unlocks company search, company detail, NIF lookup, and event timelines. Free tier: 1,000 requests per month, no credit card.
