Portfolio coverage check

Paste or drop a CSV of the companies in your book: country, identifier and, if you have it, the name. You see which identifiers are well formed, what Prometiam offers for each country and what a full run costs in credits, and you can download the report.

Nothing is uploaded. Your file is read and checked in this browser tab and the report is built here.

1. Your portfolio

One company per line: country (ISO code or name), identifier, name (optional). Separated by commas, semicolons or tabs; a header line is fine.

2. Checks to price

Each check is priced per row where the country offers it, with the published credit weights.

What this does and does not tell you

This is a capability check by country, not a hit rate. It does not say whether a given company is in the data: sole traders and the legal forms a register does not serve are not. Insolvency notices cover sixteen markets; in the United States and Germany they are searched by name and are not linked to the company record. An evaluation key answers the hit-rate question on your real book.

What the check looks at

For every line of your file the page does three things, in this order, in your browser:

  1. Country: the ISO code or the country name is matched to a country. A country the API does not serve is listed as not served, and a value that is no country is reported on its line.
  2. Identifier: the offline validator for that country checks the format and, where the register publishes one, the check digit: the control character of the Spanish CIF, the Luhn key of the French SIREN, the sums of the Polish NIP and REGON, the modulus 11 of the Brazilian CNPJ. A bad line names the reason, such as “Control character should be 7 or G, not 8.” The identifier validator runs the same rules one number at a time.
  3. Offer: for each valid line the page looks up what Prometiam offers for that country: the company record, officers, corporate events (from a gazette or as register changes), insolvency notices (linked to the company or searched by name) and monitoring.

Then it prices the checks you tick with the published credit weights: 1 credit for a company record and 2 for officers, corporate events or insolvency; sanctions screening (beta) is 3 credits per name and needs a name column. Only the lines where the country offers a check are priced for it.

A worked example

The Load an example button fills eight lines: five well-formed companies, each from a different country, one Dutch number, one Spanish number with a wrong control character and one unknown country. With the four default checks (company record, officers, corporate events, insolvency) the page reports, computed by the page’s own code:

  • 8 rows read, 6 ready to run, 1 with an identifier whose format is not valid (line 6: “Control character should be 7 or G, not 8.”) and 1 with a country that is not served (line 8).
  • What the 6 ready lines can have: company record 5, officers 3 (Spain, France and the United Kingdom), corporate events 5, insolvency notices 5 and monitoring 4.
  • Priced run: 5 company records at 1 credit, 3 officer lines at 2, 5 event lines at 2 and 5 insolvency lines at 2 make 31 credits, which a Starter plan of 1,000 credits a month covers many times over.
  • By country: Spain, France and the United Kingdom offer the record, officers, events and linked insolvency notices. Romania offers the record, register-change events and monitoring, but no officers and no insolvency notices. The United States offers the record, register-change events and monitoring, with insolvency notices searched by name. The Netherlands offers insolvency notices by name only.

Reading the result correctly

  • Ready to run means a well-formed identifier in a country Prometiam serves. It does not mean the company is in the data: sole traders and the legal forms a register does not serve are never returned, so a valid number can still find nothing. Only a run, or an evaluation key on your real book, gives a hit rate.
  • Insolvency notices cover sixteen markets and corporate insolvency only. Where they are searched by name (the United States and Germany, for example) they are not linked to the company record, so matches need review.
  • Officers are served for Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Norway and Poland only (Polish natural persons are masked by the register). Every other country is company records only.
  • Monitoring covers every live country except France and Chile. It is limited by the number of monitored companies a plan allows, not priced per run: 25 on Starter, 250 on Professional, 2,500 on Scale.
  • The credit total estimates one pass over the file. Errors are free.

Questions

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and checked in your browser tab and the report is built there. The only thing the page can send is the optional evaluation request, which carries what you type and, if you tick the box, counts only: never rows or names.

What should the file look like?

One company per line: country (ISO code or name), identifier, and the name if you have it. Commas, semicolons or tabs separate the fields, and a header line is fine. Files up to 5 MB are read; a very long file is cut at a row limit and the page says so.

Does the check tell me whether a company is in the data?

No. It is a capability check by country, not a hit rate. It validates the format of each identifier and shows what is offered for the country. Whether a given company is found is answered by a run.

Why is a number that looks right marked invalid?

Its check digit failed. In the example, the Spanish number A78053148 should end in 7 or G: the control character of a CIF is computed from the other digits, so one wrong digit is caught before any call.

Does running the check use credits?

No. It makes no API call. It estimates what a full run would cost with the published credit weights.

Request an evaluation key

For banks, insurers, public bodies and other institutions that need to test a real portfolio before a contract. Each request is reviewed by hand. The key carries credits sized for a portfolio test, with sanctions screening (beta) and monitoring switched on, and no payment card is needed.

Credit budget: To confirm

The form sends what you type here to Prometiam by email. The rows of your file are never part of it.
