Cyprus registration number lookup

Type a Cypriot registration number (HE or AE and the number) or a company name and get the company from the Registrar of Companies: legal name, legal form, status and registered address, live. The shape of the number is verified in your browser first.

What a registration number is

Every company in the Cypriot Registrar of Companies has a registration number made of a prefix and a number: HE165 for Bank of Cyprus, AE3834 for an overseas company. There is no check digit, so only the shape can be verified.

What the lookup returns

Company records from the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property (DRCOR) of the Republic of Cyprus: legal name, legal form, status (including strike-off pending, voluntary and compulsory liquidation and administration), registered address with the district, and dates; with register-change events and monitoring, but no officers, no registry-compliance signal, no activity code, no share capital, no VAT number (a vat search is refused) and no insolvency notices. Companies (private, public and limited by guarantee) and overseas companies only; trade names and partnerships are never served. Frequently asked questions

Does a Cypriot company have a VAT number on the record?
No. The register publishes no VAT number and it cannot be derived, so this lookup works from the registration number only.
What does the prefix mean?
HE is a company and AE an overseas company registered in Cyprus. Bare digits are read as a company (HE) number.
Why does a valid-looking number return nothing?
Only companies and overseas companies are served. A partnership or a trade name returns nothing even though it exists, and a number that was never issued returns nothing. Try the name search.
Can I do this in code?
Yes: GET /companies/search?company_number=HE165&country=CY with an API key returns the same record as JSON.
