UEN lookup

Type a UEN or a company name and get the entity from ACRA: entity name, legal form, status and registered address, live. The UEN and its check letter are verified in your browser first.

What a UEN is

Every entity registered with ACRA has a UEN: 9 digits and a check letter for a local company, such as 196800306E for DBS Bank Ltd., or the T, S or R form for a limited liability partnership or a foreign company branch. The check letter is enforced. An 8-digit UEN is a sole proprietorship or a partnership and is never served.

What the lookup returns

Company records from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA): entity name, legal form, status (including liquidation, judicial management, receivership, strike-off and amalgamation), registered address with the postal code, the SSIC 2020 activity code, previous names, and the annual return and accounts due dates; updated monthly. Local companies, limited liability partnerships (LLP) and registered foreign company branches only. Sole proprietorships, general partnerships and limited partnerships are never served. No officers, no registry-compliance signal, no share capital, no dissolution date, no region, no insolvency notices and no VAT (GST) number: a vat search is refused. Register-change events (name, status, legal form and registered address changes, dated by the monthly read that first shows it, none before the first load in October 2026) and company monitoring are available.

FAQ

Singapore records carry no GST number, officers or share capital. A sole proprietorship, a general partnership or a limited partnership returns nothing even though it exists.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my UEN refused?
The check letter is enforced: it is computed from the digits and every served UEN satisfies it. A UEN that fails it, an 8-digit business UEN or a value of the wrong shape is refused before the call.
Is there a GST number in the result?
No. Singapore’s register publishes none.
Why does a valid UEN return nothing?
Only local companies, limited liability partnerships and registered foreign company branches are served. A sole proprietorship, a general partnership or a limited partnership returns nothing even though it exists. Try the name search.
Can I do this in code?
Yes: GET /companies/search?company_number=196800306E&country=SG with an API key returns the same record as JSON.
