registries.io Alternative
An honest comparison for teams weighing registries.io against Prometiam. These are products at different stages and of different shapes. registries.io is a web tool for looking up a company and generating a PDF report — directors, ownership and addresses — from official European registries, built by the team behind TransactionLink. As at 28 July 2026 its JSON API is advertised as "coming soon" and is not yet available, and it publishes no pricing. Prometiam is a REST API that is live today, with published pricing and a free tier.
The practical difference right now
If you need to programmatically query European company data today, Prometiam has an API and registries.io does not yet. If you need a human to look up a company and download a report, registries.io does that free, and covers Germany, Czechia, Lithuania and Austria — none of which Prometiam holds.
Where registries.io is genuinely ahead
Poland. Its Poland page lists six linked registers including CRBR (the Polish beneficial-ownership register) and KRZ (the National Register of Debtors). Prometiam serves Polish companies from the KRS but has no Polish directors or UBO — that is a real gap on our side, and we would rather say so than hide it. registries.io also documents Germany, Czechia, Lithuania and Austria, and the England & Wales Charity Register, none of which Prometiam covers.
