In Norway a bankruptcy (konkurs) is opened by a district court (tingrett), which appoints a trustee (bostyrer). The public record is kept by Brønnøysundregistrene: its Konkursregisteret, the bankruptcy register, records the proceedings, and its Enhetsregisteret, the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities, marks the entity itself. The identifier throughout is the organisasjonsnummer, nine digits with a modulus-11 check digit.
Only one of the register's states is a bankruptcy. Konkurs is a court-opened bankruptcy and is served as event type insolvency. Under avvikling means the company is in liquidation and is served as liquidation. Under tvangsavvikling or tvangsoppløsning means a court has ordered the company wound up or dissolved, typically because it has not met a duty such as delivering its annual accounts, and is served as dissolution. Filter on event_type=insolvency for bankruptcies only.
Prometiam serves Norwegian corporate insolvency notices through GET /insolvency/search?country=NO. Each record carries the organisasjonsnummer as company_number, so a notice joins to the Norwegian company record from GET /companies/search?country=NO. Norway has no corporate-event stream and no monitoring subscription, so this endpoint, and POST /insolvency/check on a schedule, is how a Norwegian counterparty is watched. Corporate only; an empty result is not proof of solvency.
