Czech IČO lookup

Type a Czech IČO or a company name and get the company from the Czech public register: legal name, legal form, status, registered address and region, live. The number and its check are verified in your browser first, and a wrong number is shown before any call is made.

What an IČO is

Every company in the Czech public register (Veřejný rejstřík) has an IČO of 8 digits, for example 45274649 for ČEZ, a. s. The last digit is a mod-11 check with the weights 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The check is advisory: the register holds live companies whose IČO fails it, so a mismatch is a warning and the number is still looked up.

What the lookup returns

Company records from the public register of the Czech Republic (Veřejný rejstřík, Ministry of Justice ISVR open data) and the Czech Statistical Office’s Register of Economic Entities (RES): legal name, legal form, status (including liquidation, insolvency, bankruptcy and restructuring), registered address with postal code, city and region (kraj), registration date, share capital and the CZ-NACE 2025 activity code; with register-change events and monitoring, but no officers, no registry-compliance signal, no VAT number and no insolvency notices. Commercial legal persons only: sole traders and other natural persons, associations, foundations and branches are never served. Contains data from the public registers of the Czech Republic (Ministry of Justice, ISVR open data) and the Czech Statistical Office (RES, CC BY 4.0). Adapted by Prometiam.

FAQ

Is the IČO the same as the VAT number?
No. The VAT number (DIČ) is a separate number, assigned only to VAT payers, and it is not served: a VAT search is refused.

Why is my number flagged?
The check digit is advisory. Some real companies fail it, so a flagged number is still looked up. Letters or the wrong length are rejected.

Why does a valid number return nothing?
Only commercial legal persons are served. A sole trader (OSVČ), another natural person, an association, a foundation or a branch returns nothing even though it exists. Try the name search.
