An honest comparison for teams weighing UC against Prometiam for Swedish company data by API. Prometiam is the register-record API: an organisationsnummer, a Swedish VAT number or a name in, the Bolagsverket record out. Credit risk. UC's risk class runs from 1 (highest risk) to 5 (lowest) and estimates the probability that a company becomes insolvent within a year, calculated from official sources such as Kronofogden, Bolagsverket and Skatteverket; a credit limit is included for limited companies, and payment remarks show for three years from registration. Prometiam has no credit scores and no payment remarks. Company depth: financial statements and key figures, board and group connections, ownership structure and beneficial owners. Personal credit information for companies with a legitimate need. Credit reports on foreign companies. PEP and sanctions lists for AML and KYC. JSON and REST APIs, with CRM and master-data integrations.

Prometiam publishes every tier from a 14-day trial (1,000 API calls, no credit card) through Starter at €9.99 a month (10,000 calls) and Professional at €29.99 (100,000) to Scale at €99.99 (1,000,000), monthly, no contract. UC's integrations are set up as customised solutions with UC, and we do not quote its prices. The official record, validated: the organisationsnummer check digit and third-digit rule, the SE VAT alias and the register's status and dates, in the same response shape as every other registry the API covers.
Company records from the Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket): legal name, legal form, status, registered address, activity code and dates; no officers, no corporate-event stream, no monitoring, no registry-compliance signal and no insolvency notices, and sole traders (enskild näringsverksamhet) are never served.
If your workflow is a lookup, resolving a customer's identifier or a few typed letters into a company record for an onboarding form, an invoice or a CRM row: every registry identifier is one parameter — NIF/CIF, SIREN/SIRET, Companies House number, CRO number, KRS number, organisasjonsnummer, Y-tunnus, organisationsnummer and each other registry's own number — and ?name= is a normalised partial match a type-ahead field can call on every keystroke, across one schema for all live countries. Auth is one bearer key; rate limits scale 10 to 600 requests/minute by tier. A TypeScript SDK (prometiam-risk-api on npm) and an MCP server (prometiam-risk-mcp, also at /mcp) are both published; no Python SDK yet. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). Free identifier lookup tools, including an organisationsnummer lookup, run the same call without a key.
