The Connecticut Secretary of the State keeps the state's register of business entities, the data behind a "CT secretary of state business search". Connecticut publishes every status, so active, dissolved, withdrawn and other entities are found with their status.
An entity the state has started to dissolve administratively appears in the register as "Admin Dissolution Initiated". The API serves it as strike_off_pending in status and keeps the register's wording in local_status, so you can tell an entity that is about to leave the register from one that has left it.
Connecticut also publishes a NAICS industry code for entities, returned in registry_details where the register has one.
A Connecticut company number is CT- and the business account number: CT-2732431 is Verity Risk Partners, Inc. The account number has no check digit, so only its shape is verified. A name works as well: type it and pick the match.
