Search the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations register (Sunbiz) by name or document number and get the record live: name, entity type, status, reason when inactive and address. The shape of the number is checked in your browser first.
The Division of Corporations keeps the register behind a "Sunbiz search" or "Florida corporation search". The data behind this lookup covers profit corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and non-profit corporations, domestic and foreign, in the Division's public data files.
Florida entities are active or inactive. An inactive entity carries its reason as the local status: dissolved, withdrawn, revoked or merged. Where the file gives no reason, the record is inactive and the reason is left empty.
A Florida company number is FL- and the Division of Corporations document number: FL-L26000211420 is ZMOV LLC. The document number has no check digit, so only its shape is verified. A name works as well: type it and pick the match.
A company formed elsewhere and registered in Florida is a Florida record marked foreign, with its jurisdiction of formation; see Delaware company search for the Delaware case.
Fictitious names, general partnerships and LLPs, trusts, unincorporated non-profit registrations and registered-agent designations are never served. There are no officers, no registered agent, no FEI/EIN from the state file and no mailing address.
The same search as a request with an API key. The response has the same shape as every country the API covers.
Company records from the business registers of New York, Colorado, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida, plus SEC filers (EDGAR) and LEI holders (GLEIF) from every state, Delaware included. One record per state registration, domestic or foreign. New York and Pennsylvania publish active entities only; Florida active and inactive entities. Updated weekly: the daily Florida files are applied at the weekly read, addresses refresh at the quarterly file. No officers; register-change events (dated by the weekly read, none for Florida before its first load in October 2026) and monitoring; no VAT number. It is not every US company.
