The court register itself documents a few legacy numbers whose check digit was computed wrongly. A dropped leading zero is restored. Not the OIB.

Issued to companies and to individuals alike, so a valid OIB does not say which. Nine digits is the length of an MBS, a different number.

Shape notation: N digit · L letter · X digit or letter · C check digit or character · {n} repeat n times.
A valid shape and check digit prove that a number is well-formed, not that a company holds it. Only a lookup in the register answers that.
